There’s been quite allot written lately in the news about creative ways for young families to earn more money. Some suggest it’s best to hold onto a “good paying job” as long as you can – while others recommend venturing out on your own – hoping “for the best”, by taking control of their destiny. Here’s what I recommend.
First And foremost – If you measure “Success” by financial wealth, remember this: Most “Wealthy People” Are Not Born Into Wealth, And They Are CERTAINLY NOT Employees! Furthermore – They Generally Aren’t Lucky Enough To Have Success Dropped Into Their Lap! In reality, Financial Wealth is hard to achieve – and even harder to hold on to. It’s usually the result of tremendous risk – and sometimes, many, many failures. In other words – IT’S NOT EASY TO ATTAIN! But – the “good news” is this: If You Change Your Mindset From Thinking Like An Employee, To Thinking Like An Entrepreneur – THERE IS A VERY STRONG POSSIBILITY THAT YOU WILL SOON REALIZE YOUR DREAM, AND ACHIEVE ALL OF YOUR FINANCIAL GOALS AND OBJECTIVES!
How To WIN: “Winning” is not easy! In fact, if it were easy to “Win”, we’d all be millionaires – and there’d be no need for me to even write this article! But, in truth – most people who try to “Win” and “Succeed” as an entrepreneur fail, for a variety of very common reasons: 1) They didn’t take the time to research BEFORE they started their new business, 2) They run out of money – before they figure out the “tricks of the trade”, 3) They are enticed by a “good paying job” that presents itself right when they are starting their new business [which obviously looks much easier – and has less risk], 4) They just don’t have the “passion and desire to succeed” as they thought they did, and 5) Most common of all – they just simply give up much too quickly.
The reality and truth to most successful business owners / entrepreneurs is that they simply never gave up! They never abandoned their dream – and they “held on tight” when everyone around them was encouraging them to give up, quit – and go back to simply having a secure job. Simply put – successful entrepreneurs never take “no for an answer”, and always see the positive in everything they accomplish. Even when their accomplishments were mere “baby steps” – they had the vision and foresight to know that they were moving forward. With every mistake – came a realization of what not to do, which ultimately made them that much smarter and wiser. In short – there was only one ultimate direction they could go, which was “UP”!
Another common trait of successful entrepreneurs is understanding that, in today’s “dog eat dog” business climate, IT PAYS TO STUDY YOUR COMPETITIONS STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES BEFORE YOU START YOUR NEW BUSINESS. Using the internet, it’s very easy to learn all about your major competitors – and leaders in the industry you are planning to join. Taking the time [at least 30 days] to study, review and formulate a “game plan” to aggressively attack the leaders in your industry will prove invaluable as you enter the early first few months of operation.
The Bottom Line: There’s an old saying made famous in recent years by Steve Jobs [Apple Computer] when he famously quoted Pablo Picasso: “Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal”. I think he was dead on the money. After all – there’s no need to re-invent the wheel to be successful. If you’re ready to improve your life – and join the ranks of Successful Entrepreneurs – Simply take a look at an industry you have a passion about – and study the company with the greatest market share. Learn all that you can from them – and then shamelessly “Steal” the best of what they have to offer. IMPROVE ON THIS WITH YOUR OWN GREAT IDEAS – AND YOU’RE ON YOUR WAY TO STARDOM!
Within a very short period of time, you’ll never even remember having once been an employee – and proudly call yourself a “Successful Entrepreneur”!
